If BL2 isn't going to improve on some disciplines, and instead just be lazy and remove them, then it's really kind of a lateral move from BL1, isn't it? I would have greatly preferred that Presence lost its combat use (except for maybe a brief "stun" effect to stop people from attacking you at high levels) I would have preferred it was remade as a primarily social discipline, rather than being done away with for Brujah. If a Tremere or Malkavian or Gangrel can simply invest dots in social, and thereby be equal to a Presence-less Brujah in social situations, that is a fundamental dilution of clan history and function.Īnd referring back to Presence's usage (or misuse) in BL1 doesn't really strengthen your stance.

In other words, you took my point and made it absurd.

Originally posted by Aldaris:Quit with the attitude.įor the record, I developed the attitude because it was irritating for you to take my argument, which was quite clear and well-reasoned (your disagreement in this case does not undermine the quality of my argument), and turn it into "WHY would a Tremere want to rabble-rouse?" So, in essence, those three clans are losing nothing. As I said elsewhere, I suspect that all vampires are getting a form of Auspex up to at least 2 dots (part of the new blood resonance and aura hunting system). They definitely need Fortitude, though I consider that a given.Īt face value, I'd say the Malks, Tories, and Tremere get the most out of this deal. Another possible fix is to give Ventrue Presence instead of Dominate. That could be fixed by giving Malks Dementation back, or some form of it. Something that immediately stands out: way too much Dominate. Minus the disciplines I believe will be sacrificed for the thin-blood's. These are the clans we're probably getting in the base game. Seriously though, let me modify your list:Īlright. Hell, I'd rather be a Caitiff why not just let us pick our starting 3 disciplines instead of going the TB route? Thin Blooded Thin Blood Alchemy and feeding gives 1-2 dot disciplines of the blood consumed Caitiff Three of Choice Following embrace and or can learn others after feeding.
